The Portal Tomb of Doogort West (also known as Giant’s Grave) is situated on the lower southern slope of Slievemore, east of Dooagh, in the townland of Doogort West (in Irish, Dumha Goirt Thiar) on the northern half of Achill Island in County Mayo, Ireland. As Portal Tombs, these megalithic structures are referred to in Ireland and Britain, featuring two equally tall upright stones with a doorstone in between, forming the front of a chamber, which is partially covered by a massive capstone.
