The dolmen, known as Cabana del Moro (“Hut of the Moors”), dates from the Neolithic Age and is located in the southern French municipality of Llauro in the Pyrénées-Orientales department.
The megalithic stone grave is located in a wooded area about halfway between Llauro and the neighbouring town of Tordères. There were enough large stones in the area to erect the structure.
The dolmen, built from barely hewn limestone, seems to have had a corridor several meters long. The orthostats on the left side of the burial chamber have sunk into the ground; as a result, the large capstone of the burial chamber has also lowered to the side. The stones in the area, which form a kind of enclosure, do not seem to belong to the original inventory.
