Dolmen D35 is located on the north side of the Valtherbos between Klijndijk and Valthe in the Dutch province of Drenthe. The dolmen can be reached via a dirt road from the Melkweg between Valthe and Klijndijk.
The dolmen is attributed to the Funnel Beaker Culture. Only two capstones – of the original four – remain. The dolmen never had gate stones. There are ten supporting stones and two keystones, these are almost completely under the sand. The dolmen is 8.5 meters long and 3.2 meters wide. The dolmen is oriented exactly east-west and stands on the edge of a former pond (a pingo ruin). Close to the dolmen is the burial mound “Eppiesbargie”. The oldest trade route in Drenthe runs along D31, D33, D34, D35 and this burial mound. The Valtherzandweg is still part of this prehistoric route.
