The nearly complete Portal Tomb of Garran is located west of the L189 road from Monaghan to Newbliss, fenced off behind a house in the Townland of Garran (in Irish, An Garrán) in County Monaghan, Ireland. It is referred to as the “Giants Grave” on OS maps. Portal Tombs are megalithic structures found in the British Isles, characterized by two equally tall upright stones with a doorstone in between, forming the front of a chamber covered by a partially massive capstone.

The Portal Tomb of Garran consists of two approximately 1.5 meters tall portal stones (the right one is split), two side stones on each side, and an end stone, all in situ. It also has an approximately 2.4 meters long and 1.0-meter-thick capstone, which has shifted backward and rests on one of the eastern supporting stones and the ground. The doorstone is missing. The chamber, measuring approximately 2.0 by 1.0 meters, opens to the northwest.
