Dolmen D44

Dolmen D44 is located in the hamlet of Westenesch near Emmen in the Dutch province of Drenthe.

The dolmen is located on a farmyard on the Schietbaanweg. It is the only privately owned dolmen in the Netherlands.

The dolmen is attributed to the funnel beaker culture. The remains of the dolmen have one capstone. This capstone rests on two bearing stones. Next to the dolmen is a capstone with drill holes in it. It is the most dilapidated dolmen in the Netherlands.
