Knockeen Portal Tomb is a prehistoric monument located in County Waterford, Ireland. It is also known as the 'Leacanabuaile Portal Tomb' or the 'Cnocín an Chinnéidigh Portal Tomb'.
This megalithic tomb was constructed during the Neolithic period, around 4000-2500 BCE, and it consists of two large upright stones that support a capstone, creating a chamber or portal. The capstone weighs several tons and is estimated to be around 3.5 meters long.
The tomb was likely used for burial rituals and may have been used for several generations of a particular community.
