The Rudston Monolith is a hewn sandstone block, probably from the younger Stone Age, located in the hamlet of Rudston, England. The monolith is eight meters tall and two meters wide, which makes it the largest prehistoric carved stone in all of Britain. The monolith itself cannot be dated, but surrounding structures that were found where the stone is located date from the younger Stone Age. The stone has been carved in Grosmont, some 45 kilometers from where it was erected.
