Stoney Littleton Long Barrow

Chambered Neolithic Long Barrow near Wellow, England

A Cotswold-Severn Long Barrow, Stoney Littleton was constructed around 3,500 BCE.

Remarkably preserved it is notable for having an Ammonite fossil on one of the stones forming the entrance.

It can be accessed by a short walk from a carpark nearby the site, however, the road leading to this, Littleton Lane, is very thin so it is recommended to instead park in the nearby Village of Wellow and make your way down Littleton lane on foot, which takes around 30 minutes.
