The Viking Museum Haithabu is near the historic site of Haithabu (Danish Hedeby), a major Viking era trading center on the Jutland peninsula near the border between Germany and Denmark.  The museum includes a large collection of artifacts and some stunning reconstructed buildings that can give you an idea of what the town would have looked like in the Viking age.
