The temple of Mercury in Archettes, France consists of the remnants of a sanctuary dedicated to Mercury. This Gallo-Roman site lies hidden in the heart of the Forest between Archettes and Cheniménil. According to archaeological surveys, the site is believed to have been occupied in the 1st century AD. Altars, Gallo-Roman steles, coins, remnants of walls, as well as fragments of statues and pottery shards, were unearthed during excavations spanning over a decade.

To reach the site, head towards Cheniménil and Docelles from Archettes. In Cheniménil, follow the path to the cemetery and continue on this road until you take the second left turn. Proceed straight on this path until you reach the picnic area near the forest house. At the picnic area, take the left path heading south. The remnants are on the left, approximately 400 meters away.
